A senior disciple and the daughter of A.K.Ganesan (Violinist), She was under his tutelage for 15 years.

Jayalakshmi got trained in Vocal under several eminent Gurus such as Chengalpattu Shri. Ranganathan and Shri.V.V.Ravi

Jayalakshmi is an accomplished musician – A carnatic Vocalist, and an Independent Music instructor.

She has 35 years of experience as a music teacher and worked as a principal in government Music College (Villupuram) and has an MPhil (Music) by qualification, and currently, a full-time performing and teaching musician.
