An alumnus of the prestigious Indian dance institute, Kalakshetra (Chennai), wherein she also did her post-graduate studies in the dance form she has taught and performed in various productions by Kalakshetra, as one of their principal artists.

Nrithya is a Recipient of a scholarship from the ministry of culture, Government of India. Nrithya has performed in prestigious concerts hosted by Kalakshetra across the globe and in innumerable self-directed creative dance productions, having established her own dance production company.
